Below is some information I found recently when I was searching the CMoG object database. I decided to look for the earliest Carder Steuben glass in the collection; there are 6 objects whose date is probably or estimated to be 1904. Five of the 6 objects below have photos; only number 1 does not.

Gail Bardhan

Vase 59.4.211; Trumpet Form Vase (no photo)

2. 59.4.479 (marked 1st trial 1904)

Gail's research leads us into more research which we'll share in Friday's Gazette

3. Jack in the Pulpit Vase 59.4.415 (marked in Carders hand with black grease pencil 1904)

4. Vase Aurene 131 (shape 131), ca. 1904) 59.4.420 [Numbers 1-4 in gold aurene]

5. Transparent & Colorless Bowl, 70.4.111

6. Gold Aurene Compote 72.4.171
