Stunning Look

Hi Alan,

Thank you for showing more pieces donated to Philadelphia Museum of Art by the Rosens. The gorgeous "colorless acid etched footed vase" reminded me that the much talked-about and highly desirable two- or more color "acid cut back" type pieces are not the only acid etched technique Carder used. Though the lack of color in this piece doesn't create an obvious high-contrast design that the multicolor pieces do, it is nevertheless a very effective use of acid etching, and anyone would be lucky to have such an item in his or her collection.
